Dear Members & Guests;
The last Chamber meeting was held on Wednesday, June 10th, 2009; approximately 15 people attended. During the meeting the Chamber membership reviewed and/or discussed the following:
· “Street Dance / Family Fest” the Chamber continues to meet with the Rec & Parks Board to assist in planning this event. This is a local event and we hope to get local Restaurants involved with this event, final details will be presented at the July 8 Chamber meeting.
· Madeira Schools are seeking assistance from businesses in Madeira to provide work/volunteer opportunities for Madeira High School Special Education Programs. If you can participate contact Lisa Surace at 985-6070.
· Independence Day Parade Thursday July 2 Miami Avenue will not be accessible between the hours of 6:30 p.m. until approximately 8:00 p.m. The Madeira Chamber of Commerce will have a booth at the Fireworks at Sellman Park and will conclude with a fireworks display at approximately 10:00 p.m.

· Nominations for the new president (March 2010 – February 2012) need to be made by the end of July so we can have this person shadow the current president. Nominations should be submitted to Kristen Hertzer.
· Wednesday June 24, Lunch-n-Learn program from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm featuring; Michael Davis from “Specking CPR”, Madeira City Hall Council Chambers, RVSP Bruce Strickland 503-4404.

· Sunday June 28, Car Show, from 12 am to 4 pm. This event is held in Downtown Madeira. The Madeira Chamber of Commerce will have a booth at the Car Show and will be supported by Boy Scout Troop 209. The Chamber will be handing out new brochures highlighting over 91 businesses in Madeira.

New for 2009 ... Leads Exchange Luncheon we are currently looking for Madeira Chamber of Commerce businesses to host networking events at various locations on the 3rd Wednesday of each. This event will provide an opportunity to meet, greet, and trade business and marketing ideas.
The next Leads Exchange Luncheon will be on Wednesday, July 15, 2009; from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.; and will be hosted by “Ted Fritz, TJs Tech Solutions” at Madeira City Hall, 7141 Miami Avenue, Madeira OH
